The ordinary bottle of sparkling wine is one-fifth of a gallon. They come in half bottles, namely: one-tenth of a gallon, and also in magnums, which may hold a half gallon or a gallon apiece". A magnum of a wine of this kind is rarely ever used except upon occasions of anniversaries, celebrations, such as weddings, family reunions, and on birthdays.
