Nearly all sparkling wines are white, or better, amber tinted. There are very frequently found red wines which have been manufactured according to the sparkling standard. Among these a red wine made in France, and known as sparkling Burgundy is very highly esteemed. The sparkling red wines cannot begin to compare in flavor and delicacy, or taste and aroma, with the still red wines made from the same grapes.
