This vineyard is owned by Mr. Armand J. Lalande. The estate embraces a superb vineyard of about 60 hectares, planted exclusively with the finest varieties of grapes, and which produces a wine which is very remarkable on account of its softness, its color, its fineness, and its bouquet. Its qualities are such as to make it easily classed among the best of the third growths of the Medoc. The wines of Cantenac-Brown are highly appreciated in the Bordeaux, as well as abroad, especially in England. In England and Holland these wines enjoy a remarkable reputation. The mean production of the Chateau Cantenac-Brown is about 140 tuns.
