"Perry" is the name applied to the expressed juice of pears, a product in every way, except the character of the fruit, which is identical with cider. The perry industry has not assumed any large proportions in this country. I do not remember ever to have seen perry offered commercially in the markets, though of course it doubtless has been an object of merchandise. Other beverages may be found in the home from time to time, expressed from cherries, peaches, blackberries and other small fruits, but the quantities of these are minute and they do not demand any further description.
