Two tablespoonfuls of jam.
Two tablespoonfuls of boiling water and a little lemon-juice, or use wine in place of water.
Put the jam, water, and lemon-juice in a small saucepan, bring it to the boil, and reduce it to about three-quarters of the original quantity, then strain it round the puddings.
