One pint sifted flour, two tablespoonsful corn meal; mix one-fourth teaspoon salt, two-thirds teaspoon baking powder, one-half teaspoon sugar: mix dry, then add sweet milk, stirring in one egg. Beat all to a rather thin batter. Cook on hot griddle, serve hot with maple syrup. - A. M. Graham, Williams, Ariz.
