25 or 50 bananas 2 cups walnut meats

2 to 4 cups raisins 1/4 cup preserved ginger

Chop raisins, walnuts, and ginger fine; moisten with ginger syrup and lemon juice to taste. Chill and peel bananas, serving a whole or half banana to each person. Split lengthwise, put filling between; place on bed of watercress, and serve for dessert with Cream or California Mayonnaise, or with Cream Dressing.
