1 quart bran 1 quart barley flour 3/4 quart fine corn meal or corn flour

1 1/2 cups molasses 1 1/2 quarts sour milk 2 tablespoons salt 1 2/3 tablespoons soda

Sift flour, soda, and salt together; add bran and corn meal, then molasses and milk. Beat hard. Bake in moderate oven from thirty to forty-five minutes. Makes fifty large muffins.
