1 lb. Wholemeal Flour.
1/2 lb. milled Hazels or any other nuts.
6 oz. Nut Margarine.
6 oz. Brown Moist Sugar or Honey.
1/2 lb. any dried Fruit (finely minced).
1/4 pint of Milk.
1 teaspoonful of Baking Powder.
Rub the butter well into the flour, then mix all the dry ingredients together, make a bay and pour in the milk, mix lightly into a stiff paste; dust the board with flour and roll out a small piece at a time and cut into fingers and fancy shapes about a 1/4 of an inch thick. Place the biscuits on a buttered baking tin and bake in a moderate oven 20 minutes, or until well browned and cooked. Store in a tin for use as required.
