8 oz. Flour.

2 oz. ground Rice.

8 oz. Muscatels (stoned).

8 oz. good Nut Margarine.

8 oz. Castor Sugar.

4 Eggs.

The Juice of 1/2 a Lemon.

1/2 teaspoonful of Cinnamon and Nutmeg mixed.

How To Make:

Sift the flour, rice and spices together. Beat the butter and sugar together in a basin until creamy 15 to 20 minutes, using a wooden spoon. Add the eggs one at a time, with a little of the sifted flour, etc.; stir in the fruit, the rest of the flour and the lemon juice. Bake in a moderate oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
