Arsenic Iodide, in doses of I -60 to 1-15 grain, is used in the treatment of cancer, scrofula, and obstinate ski lesions, and as an ointment (3 grains to the ounce) to reduce tubercular swellings. In small doses (1-1000 to 1-100 grain) where there a chronic irritating discharges of a watery and offensive character, as in old nasal catarrh and catarrh of the middle ear, pyemia, tubercular sores, and in scrofula ophthalmia.
