Rhus Glabra, Smooth Sumach. The dried fruit is official. The fluidextract, in 10 to 30 I., doses, is astringent, and used in diarrhea and ulcerated states of the stomach and bowels. Locally, it is applied to soft, spongy gums, apthae, and pharyngitis.
