The properties of this plant are said to resemble those of Brάhmi (Herpestes Monniera), both being regarded as alterative, tonic, and useful in diseases of the skin, nervous system and blood. The fresh juice of the leaves is given with milk and liquorice powder, as an alterative tonic.4
