These frequently occur in the young, just after reaching the age of puberty, and are generally occasioned by a morbid imagination, combined perhaps, with irregularity of habits, and errors of diet. The patient should strive to live more in obedience to nature, and cultivate a healthy frame of mind. The external application of the sponge-bath will be found beneficial. Three globules of Phos.-acid may be given every other night.
