The liquor ferri perchloridi, with a little glycerin added, is a good astringent locally and internally in catarrhal sore throat, and in relaxed conditions of fauces with mucous secretion: also in the oedematous, honey-combed condition which remains after follicular tonsillitis, or more serious throat inflammations.
