Suppurating Bubo

Pass a horse hair drain through the tumor in the same way you would a seton, in the long axis of the gland, tying the ends loosely together and covering the open points through which the matter drains with a piece of lint soaked in carbolic acid solution. By moving the loop every morning the bubo is gradually emptied, and at the end of three or four days the horse hair drain is removed and slight pressure applied.
