1. Evert the lids and cauterize the conjunctiva once or twice with a mitigated stick of silver, which is composed of 1/3 of argenti nitras and 2/3 potassae nitras; washing off the excess with a solution of common salt.

2. After cleansing with a syringe a 4 gr. to

10 grs. ad 3 j solution of argenti nitras may be used with the syringe the same way twice a day.

3. Keep the edges of the eye-lids anointed with cosmoline.

4. Prevent the accumulation of pus.
