General Treatment

1. Apply the cold douche.

2. Stimulants by the rectum as well as by the mouth.

3. The hair is to be cut short, and blisters applied to the nape of the neck.

4. Electro-galvanic current with the| wet sponge applied along the sides of the neck, chest and epigastrium.

5. Sinapisms to be applied to the extremities, and to the chest or sides.

6. In convulsions, chloroform by inhalation.

7. The patient should be placed in the recumbent position, in the shade, where there is a free circulation of air, and at the same time disencumber him of everything that can in any wise interfere with the circulation or respiration.
