Eng., Nutgall. An excrescence on Quercus infec-toria and other allied species of Quercus, caused by the punctures and deposited ova of Cynips tinctoria.
Principal Constituents. Tannic Acid, Gallic Acid, etc.
Eng., Nutgall Ointment. Contains 20 per cent. of the drug.
Almost unused as such. See Tannic and Gallic Acids.
