Latin, Uva Ursi
Eng., Uva Ursi. Synonym, Bearberry. The dried leaves of Arctostaphylos Uva-ursi. Average Dose.-30 grains (2 Gm.).
Eng., Fluidextract of Uva Ursi. Average Dose.-30 minims (2 mils).
Astringent, diuretic. Uses.-Uva Ursi is sometimes used in the treatment of gonorrhea, cystitis, pyelitis, dropsy, etc. Not often prescribed.
