The French writers almost unanimously recommend this drug in psoriasis. I have used it to a limited extent, and thus far think well of it. It has appeared to me, however, to be a drug which, like Copaiba, should be classed among the diathetic rather than the specific remedies in psoriasis, acting in virtue of its diuretic properties rather than directly on the skin, and hence adapted to the early rather than to the late stages of treatment.
