Gentian, 2 troyounces.
Curaao orange peel, 1 troyounce.
Virginia snakeroot, 1/2 troyounce.
Cochineal, 30 grains.
Brandy, 2 pints.
Mix the drugs and reduce them to a coarse powder, and macerate this in the brandy for fourteen days, stirring the mixture thoroughly each day, then filter.
