Gentian, 2 1/2 troyounces.
Serpentaria, 1 troyounce.
Bitter orange peel, 1 1/2 troyounces.
Calamus, 1/4 troyounces.
Diluted alcohol, 6 pints.
Reduce the drugs to a coarse powder, and macerate this in the diluted alcohol for fourteen days, stirring the mixture thoroughly each day, then filter. (Supplement to the London Pharmacopoeia.)
