Q. Would there be any special objection to using a water-tight cesspool as a privy? This would insure its ventilation. Would it be likely to be offensive to those obliged to use it? It is 136 feet from any house.
A. We see no objection, except that it might be disagreeable while using it, as suggested; and in frosty weather the frost would collect on the underside of the covers in an annoying manner.
