Q. Would it be practicable to use a circulation system from a kitchen-boiler to heat a small adjoining dining-room? If so, would it be necessary to increase the size of boiler and range, which are, if anything, more than ample to supply all the hot water a small family needs for washing, bathing, etc.?

A. We have seen a pantry or closet warmed in this way. The circulation-pipe from the water-back to the boiler was branched, and some of the hot water diverted into a coil in the pantry, the return going into the pipe leading to the water-back again. As to the question of requiring a larger water-back, it will all depend on the quantity of warm water required elsewhere than in the coil, and can be best found by experiment.
