Body. 1 Stuffed-olive Box (about 103/4 in. deep, 71/2 in. square).
Corner Trim. 4 Strips 1/4 in. thick, 1 in. wide, and length equal to height of the box. 4 Strips 1/4 in. thick, 11/4 in. wide, and length equal to height of the box.
False Bottom. 1 Piece 1/2 in. thick, 4 in. greater square than the box.
Remove the cover or top end from box. Make the length of corner trim equal to height of the box. Turn the box bottom up and place the false bottom or base upon it, allowing the bottom to project 2 inches all around; and secure it by nailing through it and into the edges of the four sides. If the sides are too thin to receive the nails, nail through the real bottom and clinch the nails on the inside. Set the heads of the nails well in, so they will be at least even with the bottom of the face. Invert the box, placing it upon its new base. Measure and cut each corner trim the exact height of each corner. Nail a corner trim to each corner and clinch the nails on the inside if they project. Sandpaper and fill imperfections with putty, and stain if desired.
