Draw a line in the street 200 feet or more, in front of the intended structure parallel with the street or road, then measure in from this line at two different points to establish the line for the front wall parallel with the one in the street. Locate the two front corners of the building. All other walls and corners must be located and squared from this front wall line. (See fig. 1.) In this illustration, the wall line is set back 40' from the street line. The building is 20'x24'. The two front corners are 20' apart, located on the front wall line.
