The method for turning a picture frame, Plate XXI, is quite the same as a napkin ring. In most cases, the screw-chuck method will be found to work satisfactorily, altho it is often advisable to glue the wood from which the frame is to be made to a piece of scrap wood, with paper between. Turn the front and side of the frame; when finished knock the wood apart with a few light taps of a chisel and mallet. The same scrap wood can then be used for rechucking. Big frames should be made of segments. (See Serving Tray, page 84 )
