The following menus, developed for the National Jamboree, are included here as an ideal towards which to work. They present a balanced menu from the standpoint of boy needs and satisfaction, as well as good health.

These menus were the subject of many conferences and much correspondence in which numerous people participated, including Members of the National Committee on Health and Safety, dietitians of the Mayo Clinic, experts of the Bureau of Home Economics in the U. S. Department of Agriculture, of the U. S. War Department, and of the Culver Military Academy, as well as a number of other institutions dealing with boys of Scout age, as also members of our own Staff.
