The student having now become familiar with the principal details of plumbing and drainage systems, we will proceed to illustrate, by the following figures, or plans, how the several parts, when properly fitted up, form what are known as plumbing and drainage systems, or, more properly speaking, systems of house drainage and systems of water supply and distribution.

The systems shown, although they do not cover the entire field of house plumbing and drainage, are so arranged as to show clearly to the student what is considered good modern practice in the United States. We advise the student to carefully study these drawings until he fully understands the use of every pipe and fixture shown.
