The generator is of the upright type, made of iron and lead-lined.

On its top is the acid chamber securely adjusted. Three gas washers, resting in an iron bracket that is fastened to the wall, are placed between the generator and the separate fountain, of which two or more can be attached. A separate bottling machine is also shown in the illustration. The intermittent system of German and French manufacture is also extensively used in Russia, or machines of similar pattern constructed there.
