Two pints sweet milk, 1 cup melted butter, sifted flour to make a soft batter, six eggs separa ed and beaten very light, and just before baking 4 teaspoons baking powder. Beat very hard and fast for a few minutes. These are very good with 4 eggs, but much better with more. Mrs. Herse.
One pint sour cream. 2 eggs beaten separately, and the whites added just before baking, 1 teaspoon each soda and salt and flour enough for a very thin batter.

Mix 1 3-4 cups of flour, 3 teaspoons baking powder, 1-2 teaspoon salt, 1 cup milk, 2 eggs well beaten, and 1 tablespoon melted butter. Mrs. C. J. Chapman.
