1 1/2 quarts rolled oats 1 1/2 quarts rice flour 2 tablespoons salt 1/2 cup baking powder

5 eggs, beaten separately 1/3 cup shortening 3/4 cup water 3/4 cup corn syrup

1 1/2 quarts sweet milk

Put rolled oats through meat chopper before measuring. Sift dry ingredients together; add water, syrup, milk, melted fat, and egg yolks. Fold in stiffly beaten whites, and bake in moderate oven.
