3/4 cup cooking oil 1 3/4 cups sugar 4 eggs, well beaten 3 tbspns. baking powder

3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup corn syrup 1 teaspoon lemon juice 2 3/4 cups rice flour 1 quart corn flour 3 cups or more peanuts

Cream oil and sugar together; add eggs, and beat hard. Add milk, syrup, and dry ingredients sifted together. Add coarsely chopped nuts and lemon juice. Drop by teaspoon-fuls, one inch apart, on oiled pans. Bake in slow oven. Makes about one hundred and fifty quite small cookies.
