Bismuth Beta-Naptholate. An intestinal antiseptic somewhat similar in action to salol. Dose, 5 to 15 gr. It is usually given in tablet form combined with other medicines. It is effective in the early stages of typhoid fever, Bismuth salicylate in the same dose is preferred to it by some clinicians.
