Solidago Virgaurea, Golden Rod. A diuretic of value in ascites, due to cirrhosis of the liver, and in cardiac dropsy. Bright's disease is ofttimes favorably influenced by small doses. Administer from I to 8 f3 of the i.e. during the twenty-four hours according to amount of diuresis demanded. An infusion of the flowering herb may also be used.
