1 - Inject alternately Candy's fluid largely diluted, and the tincture of iodine.

2 - Give a single drop of tincture of aconite every half hour, and stop if the pulse becomes weak or intermittent.

3 - To reduce the temperature give quinia ten to twenty grains morning and night.

4 - Where there is much tympanitis, turpentine, fifteen to twenty minims may be given in mucilage.

5 - Give stimulants and nutritious diet.
