Acetanilide - Analgesic and antipyretic. Dose, 2 to 5 grains.

Acetylphenylhydrazin - Antipyretic and analgesic. Dose, 3 to 5 grs.

Acid Camphoric - Antiseptic, astringent and disinfectant.

Agaricine - Antisudorific in phthisis. Dose, 1/8 grain.

Aluminium Acetico Tartrate - Antiseptic, rhinological affections.

Amylene Hydrate - Hypnotic anodyne. Dose, 1/2i gr. to 1 dr.

Analgen - Antipyretic and analgesic. Dose, 15 grs. in rheumatism.

Anthrarobin - Against skin disease.

Antipyrine - Antifebrine and anodyne. Dose, 10 to 30 grs., or subcutaneously, 5 to 15 grs.

Aristol - Antiseptic, and in skin diseases.

Aseptol - Sulpho-carbolic acid, antiseptic.

Aspidospermine - In dyspnoea, asthma, spasmodic croup. Dose, 1 25 to 1/2 gr.

Benzoyl-anilide - Antipyretic. Dose, 1 to 5 grs.

Benzoylguaiacol - Antituberculotic. Dose, 4 to 10 grains.

Betol - Antigonorrhic. In bougie.

Betanaphthol - Deoderant, detergent, antiseptic.

Bismuth Salicylate - Against gastric affections. Dose, 5 to 15 grs.

Benzo-naphthol, or Naphthol-betabenzoate - In-testinal antiseptic. Dose, 2 to 8 grs.

Benzosol - Benzoyl- guaiacol - Antiseptic, antipyretic, and anti-tuberculotic. Dose, 4 to 8 grs.

Boroglyceride - Antiseptic.

Bromide of ammonium and rubidum - Hyp-notic - in epilepsy. Dose, 4 to 8 grs.

Bromoform - Against pertussis. Dose, 1 to 2 min.

Burra gookeroo - Tonic, diuretic and aphrodisiac. Dose, of the fluid extract, 20 to 30 minims.

Cafacetanilid - Antipyretic, analgesic, anodyne and hypnotic. In headache and most painful affections.

Camphoric Acid - Antisudorific in phthisis. Dose, 20 to 30 grs.

Cetrarin - Stomachic. Dose, 2 grs.

Chloralamide - Hypnotic. Dose, 20 to 30 grs.

Chloralurethan - Hypnotic. Dose, 15 to 40 grs.

Chlorethyl - Monochlorethane or ethyl chloride. Local anaesthetic.

Chlorphenol - Monchlorphenol. Antiseptic and antituberculotic - inhalation.

Chinolin (Quinolin) - A powerful antiseptic and antipyretic. Dose, 3 to 10 minims; of the tartrate, 5 to 15 grs.

Colchicine - Drastic. Dose, 1-64 gr.

Creolin - Disinfectant, antiseptic, anti-zymotic, bactericide and detergent.

Choleate of sodium - Used in place of ox-gall. Dose, 1 to 5 grs.

Dadigogo - Cathartic and tsenifuge.

Dermatol - Antibacterial. Dose, 2 drams daily, a 10 per cent, ointment in skin affections.

Disinfectol - A substance analogous to creolin and lysol; disinfectant.

Diuretin - Diuretic. Dose, 15 grs.

Duboisine - Sedative, hypnotic. Dose, 1-80 to 1-30 of a grain.

Ethylene bromide - Anaesthetic, antiepileptic. Dose, 3/4 to 2/4. minims.

Ethylenimine hydrocoloride - General stimulant. Dose, 1/6 to 1/3 gr. subcutaneously.

Euphorin - Antipyretic, antirheumatic, analgesic, antiseptic. Dose, 5 to 30 grs.

Exalgine - Analgesic and antipyretic. Dose, 4 grs. , Fuchin - Antimycotic. Dose, l/2 to 4 grs.

Gallacetophenone - Antimycotic, and in dermatology.

Guaiacol - Antituberculotic. Dose, 1/2 to 2 min.

Hydracetin - A powerful antipyretic, analgesic. Dose, 1/2 to 2 grs.

Hydrargyrum tannicum oxydulatum - Mercurous tannate. Dose, 1 to 2 grains, for syphilic affections. Hydrochinon, Hydroquinone - Antiseptic and antipyretic. Dose, 10 to 20 grs. Hydroxylamine - Against skin diseases, externally. Hypnone - Hypnotic. Dose, 3 to 8 minims. Ichthyol - Antirheumatic, against erysipelas, skin diseases. Dose, 4 to 20 minims. Iodine trichloride - Antiseptic. Dose, exter nally, in 1 per cent, solution. Iodoform bituminate - Antiseptic. Externally. Iodol Antiseptic. Externally. Iodophenin - Antiseptic. Iodopyrine - Antipyretic and diaphoretic. Kefir - For preparing koumyss. Lanoline - Ointment base, or vehicle for other medicaments. Lintine - Absorbent fabric. Linamarin - A glucoside in flax. Lysol - Disinfectant, antiseptic, insecticide, antimycotic. Lipanin - A substitute for cod-liver oil. Mercury phenate - Antisyphilitic. Dose, 1/8 to

1/2 gr. subcutaneously. Mercury peptoglutine - Antisyphilitic. Dose, 1/6, gr. subcutaneously. Mercury salicylate - Antisyphilitic. Dose, 1/6 to 1/3 gr. subcutaneously. Mercury succinimate - Antisyphilitic. Methacetin - Antipyretic, antineuralgic. Dose,

3 grs. for children.

Metaphosphoric acid - Glacial phosphoric acid.

A test for albumen in urine. Methylal - Hypnotic and anaesthetic. Dose, 15 to 30 grs. Methylene, blue - Analgesic, antiseptic. Dose,

5 to 15 grs. Methylene chloride - Narcotic, anaesthetic. Methyl, violet - In malignant neoplasms, ulcers.

Hypodermically, 1-500 Microcidin - Antipyretic, antineuralgic. Dose,

2 to 4 grains. Monobromacetanilide - Analgesic. Dose, 1 to

8 grs. Mytol - Antiseptic in phthisis. Dose, 5 minims. Naphthaline - Antiseptic. Dose, 2 to 8 grs. Naphtholic acid - Antiseptic, antiparasitic. Naphthol - Antiseptic. Naphthol camphoratum - Antiseptic, antituberculotic. Subcutaneously. Nitro-benzole - Toxic, flavoring agent. Orexin hydrochloride - Stomachic. Dose, 1 to

4 grs.

Ouabain - Diuretic, toxic. Dose, 1-2000 to

1-250 gr. Oxychinaseptol or Diaphtherin - Antiseptic, non-toxic. Pancrobilin - For intestinal indigestion. Paracresotic acid - Antiseptic, antizymotic.

Dose, 5 to 60 grs. Paraldehyde - Hypnotic and sedative. Dose, 5 to 30 grs. Pental - Anesthetic. For short operations. Phenacetin - Antpyretic, antineuralgia. Dose,

5 to 10 grs.

Phenocoli hydrochloride - Antipyretic, analgesic, non-toxic. Dose, 8 to 15 grs.

Phenylurethan - Antifebrile, antirheumatic. Dose, 5 to 8 grs.

Piperazin - Uric acid solvent; epilepsy. Dose, 15 grs. per day.

Piperazide hydrochloride - General stimulant, externally.

Proteinol - Nutrient in acute diseases.

Pyoctanin Antiseptic.

Pyridine -Antiseptic. Dose, 1 to 1 1/2 drs., by inhalation.

Retinol, Rosinol - Antiseptic. In gonorrhoea and vaginitis.

Resorcin - Antiseptic, antifermentative. Dose, 5 to 10 grs.

Rubidium ammonium bromide - Antiepileptic. Dose 1/2 to 1 1/2 drs.

Salipyrin - Antifebrile, antirheumatic. Dose, 15 grs.

Salol - Antiseptic, antigononhic. Dose, 5 to 15 grs.

Salophen - Antirheumatic. Dose, 60 to 80 grs.

Sauridon - Disinfectant.

Sodium anisate - Antipyretic, antirheumatic. Dose, 15 grs.

Sodium dithiosalicylate - Antipyretic, antirheumatic. Dose, 3 grs.

Sodium paracresotate - Antipyretic, antirheumatic. 8 to 15 grs.

Sodium theobromine salicylate - Diuretic. Dose, 8 to 15 grs.

Solanine - For tremor and for painful gastric affections.

Solutol - Disinfectant.

Somnal - Hypnotic. Dose, 30 min.

Sozoiodol - A powerful antiseptic. Externally.

Strontium lactate - Dose, 3j. In nephritis, albuminuria.

Styrone Antiseptic, deodorizer.

Styracol - Antiseptic. Dose, 5 grains.

Sulphaminol - Antiseptic, antisuppurative. Externally.

Sulphonal - Hypnotic. Dose, 10 to 20 grs.

Terpene hydrate - Against pulmonary affections. Dose, 3 to 15 grains.

Tetronal - Hypnotic. Dose, 15 to 30 grs.

Thilanine - A modification of lanolin. In der matology.

Thallin sulphate - Antigonorrhoic. Injection.

Trichloracetic acid - A caustic, a powerful antiseptic. Dose, 2 to 5 grs. in solution.

Tungstate of sodium - Reagent for the detec-tion of albumen in the urine.

Thiolinic Acid - A product of linseed oil, designed to replace ichthyol and thiol.

Urethane - Hypnotic. Dose, 10 to 20 grs.

Xylol - Antiseptic. Dose, 10 to 15 minims.
