Eng., Elm. Synonym, Slippery Elm Bark. The dried bark of Ulmus fulva.
Demulcent, astringent.
Is sometimes used internally for gastritis, dysentery, cystitis, etc, and externally it is a popular household remedy in the form of poultices, for deep-seated pain. Seldom prescribed.
