Slop-Hopper

Furnish and fit up as shown on plan one slop-hopper. [Specify the kind and make of hopper, and cistern, if such is required.] If cistern is to be made by plumber give details as above for water-closet. [If slop-hopper has its own trap omit following reference to trap.] Provide------inch heavy lead trap, to be connected with Y-branch of soil-pipe as elsewhere provided for.

Bath

Where shown on plans, furnish and fit up one bath. [State the size, kind, fitting, and, if of copper, the weight required, and the maker's name.] Supply with hou† and cold water through 3/4-inch lead pipe, and waste through------inch* lead pipe, with the necessary ------ inch lead trap and trap-screw; waste to connect with soil-pipe in manner specified under " General Requirements."

Wash-Basins

Furnish and fit up where shown 15-inch common overflow washbasin [if any patent or special kind is required, state which], to be set in a 1 1/4-inch Italian marble slab of size indicated on plan, countersunk face, molded edges, back, and sides, 7/8-inch thick and twelve inches high. Basin-rim ground so as to make a close joint with the marble, and basin to be fastened to slab by three brass clamps, leaded into marble; joint between basin-rim and slab to be made tight with plaster of Paris. Furnish and fit up two plated basin-cocks [state kind, maker, or patent, and kind of plating required], plated plug, chain, and chain-stay. [State kind, size, and kind of plating; if any special waste arrangement is required, state which.] Supply with hot † and cold water through 1/2-inch lead pipe, branched from supply-pipe from tank to boiler. Waste through 1 1/2-inch lead pipe, with the necessary 1 1/2-inch lead trap and trap-screw to connect with Y-branch of soil-pipe in manner elsewhere provided for.

* Size of waste-pipe to be determined by the kind of bath-tub and by the desired quickness of discharge.

+ If brass pipes are preferred for the hot-water pipes, the specification can be modified to call for brass instead of lead.

Wash-Trays

Furnish and fit up as shown on plans three wash-trays. [Here state the kind and size required, and, in case of wooden tubs, specify whether plumber or owner is to furnish them.] Supply each with hot † and cold water through 5/8-inch lead pipe, and 5/8-inch flange and thimble bibb-cocks. [State kind and make; also, if to be of brass or plated; if porcelain or soapstone tubs are used, call for flange and bent coupling-cocks; state if tubs are to have holes for faucets in back or to be supplied over top of tub.] Furnish the necessary 1 1/2-inch plugs, couplings, and chains. [State if brass or plated.] Waste through 2-inch lead pipe, with 2-inch trap and trap-screw, to connect with 2-inch iron waste-pipe, as elsewhere provided for.

Kitchen-Sinks

Furnish and fit up one sink [state the kind and size, whether to be placed on brackets or on legs, and state if back is required] as indicated on plan. Supply with hot † and cold water through 5/8-inch lead pipe, and two 5/8-inch flange bibb-cocks, one to have hose-screw for filter. Waste through 1 1/2-inch lead pipe and the necessary 1 1/2-inch lead trap with trap-screw; to connect with a 2-inch iron waste-pipe, as described before. Outlet in sink to be protected by a strong metallic strainer [state kind] securely fastened to the sink.
