Fig. 158. - This model is really very similar to the last, and the cleverer boys of a class may make it instead of the preceding one.

Two pieces of oak or bass-wood, one 1 ft. 5 ins. long, 43/4 ins. wide, and | in. thick, and one 1 ft. 4 ins. long, A.\ ins. wide, and | in. thick, will be required, and the model should be made in the manner described for Model VII.

The large curves on the rack fronts and at the bottom of the back should be cut with the bow saw, and finished by vertical paring and filing. The small triangular holes should have a small hole bored in each first, and then be pared clean with a 1/4 -in. chisel.
