Send five dollars to the Secretary of State, Washington, D. C. A blank will be returned to you, which on filling out, certifying to it before a Notary Public or Justice of the Peace and forwarding it to the Secretary of State, a passport will be issued. Every passport must be renewed within one year of its date. The oath of allegiance is required in all cases. When husband, wife and minor children travel together a single passport will suffice. For any other person in the party, except servants, a separate passport is required. The possession of a passport is obligatory on the Franco-Spanish frontier and may be of advantage elsewhere at any time.
