Quantity for one dozen, according to the Fle-mish Wafer-irons: Mix a pound of Flour with a pint of Cream, a little Yeast, a little Salt, and a pound of melted Butter; keep it in a warm place-about half an hour or more; if it is not liquid enough to pour easy with a large Spoon, add more Cream; warm the Iron, rub it with Butter tied in a Cloth, or a bit of fresh Bacon, and pour a spoonful of this Batter on it; bake them of a good brown colour, turning the Iron once or twice: Serve hot. They are also served in hot Cream.
