Our figures show the quantity and cost of paper used and the average cost per pound in 1900.
In this table is presented a division of the paper used in 1900, according to the several classes of products which, combined, produced the total value of products of newspaper and periodical establishments. About one and a quarter billions of pounds was used during the year in which the census was undertaken. This large quantity was utilized in the following proportions :
