How did you come to know, what you do know, about the many wonderful things mentioned in this book?

You likely did not see them occur; you likely did not hear them described, but you most likely saw the story told on the printed page. It is probable that every fact mentioned herein has appeared in some paper or magazine. This means simply that the way people primarily get their information is through the papers and periodicals.

Some of the facts in this book are better known and more used than others because they have been better advertised. Others, just as important and just as welcome to the public, are likely to lie buried in books of reference until some one takes advantage of current literature to spread abroad the information.

Such telling, as above referred to, is nothing more nor less than advertising. The papers carry two kinds of information - one which they pay to get and call news, and the other which they are paid to print and call advertising.

Our business is connected with the latter and the advertising that we do is simply telling a great many by means of the printed page, of what a business man has to sell. It's a common sense process and it pays.

We have been selling by telling for thirty-five years. We discuss plans, select papers, prepare advertisements, secure and register service and carefully attend to all the other details of newspaper and magazine advertising in the United States.
