Embrocations for Saddle-galls or Warbles. 1. Goulard's extract of lead 2 drs., distilled vingar 3 oz., spirit of wine 4 oz. - White.
2. Soap liniment and Mindererus spirit, equal parts.
3. Sal ammoniac 1/2 oz., muriatic acid 2 drs., water 8 to 12 oz.
4. White vinegar 3 oz., spirit of wine 3 oz., sugar of lead 2 drs., water 6 oz.; mix. - Hinds.
Clark's Embrocatio Frigorifera. Vinegar 4 oz., camphor (dissolved in spirit) 1/2 oz., water to fill up a wine bottle.
Clark's Embrocatio Excitans. Olive oil 3 oz., camphor 1/2 dr., spirit of turpentine 1/2 oz., water of ammonia 3 drs.
Taplin's Embrocation for Windgalls. Oil of origanum, spirit of turpentine, of each 1/2 oz., camphorated spirit 1 oz. Applied with tow, and covered with a piece of lead bound on.
